About Think Galapagos

Think Galapagos is a British based company which specialises in organising Galapagos and Ecuador holidays for individuals, couples, families and friends as well as leading small group tours to these remarkable places several times each year.

Think Galapagos is run from the UK by husband and wife team Rachel Dex and Santiago Bejarano together with a team of specialist guides and tourism experts on the ground in Ecuador. Since 1998 they have specialised in organising Galapagos and Ecuador holidays for individuals, couples, families and friends as well as leading small group tours to these remarkable places several times each year.

Rachel and Santiago met in the Galapagos Islands in 1997. Santiago was working at the time as a naturalist guide, and Rachel was inspecting yachts for an investment company. A year after meeting the two began organising trips to the Galapagos and Ecuador, initially just for photography groups from the UK but gradually the company grew until they were organising trips to Ecuador and the Galapagos for small groups, couples, friends and individuals from across the globe.

Santiago is a recognised specialist on the Galapagos Islands and is regularly invited to give talks on behalf of the Galapagos Conservation Trust and his photography work on the islands has been exhibited and published both in the UK and internationally. Rachel, having worked as a correspondent for The Economist and Bloomberg News in Ecuador, knows the country and all its hidden corners inside out and is passionate about sharing this amazing country and its amazing wildlife with others.
