Hostal La Casa Del Sol
Rustic charm with an Andean twist
Overview
Setting
The Mariscal area in Quito’s new town.
An intimate sunny atmosphere pervades this hostel which celebrates the city’s Andean identity. Centered around a sunny courtyard, leading to a living area and café, all the rooms are charmingly decorated using bright colours, textiles, art and handicrafts.
Located just 20 mintues from the international airport in the tourism hub of the modern part of Quito, with a friendly and helpful staff, this charming little hostal is a fantastic choice for anyone travelling on a budget.
Insider Knowledge
Our favourite rooms are 35, which has lots of light and a mezanine floor in the room, 42 which has a private balcony and the ‘Loft’ which also has a balcony. The rooms at the front are sunnier, but if you want a really quiet room, you are best with one of the rooms at the back of the hotel.
